David Evans, a St. Louis native, began his experience with martial arts at the early age of 12. While dealing with the death of his father, David was able to escape this life defying moment by dedicating himself to wrestling and boxing training. This new focus allowed David to concentrate his life on a new positive, which in turn, became his passion. In High School he attained accolades such as; Missouri State Freestyle Wrestling Champion, 2x consecutive Conference Champion and Outstanding Wrestler, Ranked 1st for Missouri MSHSAA for three consecutive years, Ranked within top 20 nationally in his division by Wresting USA Magazine, USA Asics Wrestling All American, and capped off his High School career with a record of 155 wins and 10 losses while going undefeated his Jr. and Sr. campaign.
MMA CAREER
David continued his wrestling career after committing to Missouri Baptist University in St. Louis, Missouri. His passion and continuous dedication of his discipline and training has molded David into an elite athlete after winning the 2015 UMMAF National Championship. Additionally representing Team USA in the IMMAF world championship in Las Vegas, NV. After suffering his first (and only loss) to the current world Featherweight Champion, he sits as the 5th ranked Featherweight fighter in the IMMAF World Amateur rankings.
His passion for competition and continuous dedication to his discipline eventually led him to success in Mixed Martial Arts training under the tutelage of UFC Welterweight Tyron Woodley at American Top Team Evolution based out of St. Louis Mo. Having a dominant wrestling and striking background Evans continues to perfect his craft in all aspects under the direction of Chris Manuel; Brazilian Jiu-jitsu black belt under Ricardo Liborio & Judo black belt under Ki itsu sai national Olympic training center South Florida.
